The most affordable Pipa in our collection. Even so, we insist on a solid rosewood backboard for our musicians. This is usually a basic model acceptable for small performances. It may not be perfect for soloists but for an ensemble, it would more than suffice. Traditional ensembles actually like the sound of this pipa, as it melds into the group very well. So this instrument, humble it may be, was actually the beginning pipa for many musicians today.
